Multi-Directional Box Fans - MDB Series

  Features

  • The MDB Series of duct mounted centrifugal fans is suitable for supply or exhaust from applications ranging from residential, through commercial, to industrial.

  Construction

  • Aluminium extruded tubular frame incorporating 4 removable pre-galvanised panels for multi-directional airflow.
  • Acoustically lined inner skin for optimum noise reduction.
  • Backward curved centrifugal impellers.

  Motors

  • Type - direct-driven external rotor.
  • Electricity supply - single or three-phase to suit a wide range of voltages and frequencies.
  • Bearings - sealed-for-life ball.
  • External rotor motors are fully speed-controllable using electronic or auto-transformer controllers.

Internal Thermal Protection

  • Manual - reset type are fitted as standard to external rotor motors.

Testing

  • Air flow tests to BS848 : Part 1, 1980 and AMCA 210-85.
  • Noise data tests to BS848 : Part 2, 1985.

  Special Features

  • Most three-phase external rotor motors are 2-speed star/delta design.
  • Fan units are light in weight and can be mounted at any angle.

  Performance

Note

Performance curves shown are based on nominal speeds.   As motor speeds may vary from one manufacturer to another and from one motor type to anaother, it is possible actual fan speeds may differ and, thereby, the performance of the fan.
