Fantech legend Recognised by Industry
ARBS 2010 bought6 together over 240 exhibits and more than 7,500 visitors from the HVAC and building services industries from around Australia and overseas

It was held in Sydney at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour from 12-14 April 2010. ARBS (Airconditioning, Refrigeration, Building Services) is the largest exhibition of its type in the Southern Hemisphere and brings together new technologies, innovative products design and state-or-the-art systems to the air conditioning, refrigeration and building services industries.

The inaugural ARBS awards conference was held as an extension to the ARBS exhibition. The awards included Hall of Fame presentations which recognised a small group of people that have made a major contribution to our industry. One of the recipients was James Harrison, who was a Scotsman that invented refrigeration in Australia in 1851. Another Scotsman who received this ward was Jack Pirie, co-founder of Fantech. Amongst other thins Jack was recognised for his contribution as a member of CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services) and AIRAH (Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating) and the leadership he provided as an ARBS committee member.
